Why has my Samsung fridge stopped dispensing water?

1. Check the water supply shut-off valve to see if it is fully open. Open that valve if you find it closed.
2. If the water supply going to your fridge uses a saddle valve, deposits and debris can clog the small opening that the saddle valve uses. Shut the saddle valve and then open it back up to clear debris or deposits from the small water supply opening of the saddle valve. This may restore the water supply to your Kenmore refrigerator.
3. Verify that you have water going to the refrigerator through the water supply line. Shut the water supply cut-off valve and disconnect the water line from the back of the fridge. Place the end of the water supply line in a bucket and briefly open the water supply cut-off valve. If water doesn’t flow from the end of the water supply line, have a plumber fix the water supply going to your fridge.

Samsung Refrigerator Water Not Coming Out

When water is not coming out of your Samsung refrigerator dispenser, check to see if the ice maker is still producing ice. If not, then a water supply problem could be preventing the water dispenser and ice maker from working.

Follow these steps to check the water supply going to your Samsung refrigerator:

1. Replace the refrigerator water filter is you haven’t installed a new one within the last six months. A clogged water filter can prevent the water dispenser and ice maker to get water.
2. Check the water supply cut-off valve to make sure it’s fully open. Open that valve if you find it shut. That should restore the water supply to your fridge.
3. If you find the water cut-off valve open, or you open that valve and water still is not coming out, shut the water valve and disconnect the water line from the back of the fridge. Place the end of the water line in a bucket or container and briefly open the water supply cut-off valve to check for water flow coming from the end of the water supply line. Have a plumber fix the water line if no water comes out of the end of the hose.

If the ice maker is working, then you know that the refrigerator has an adequate water supply.

Check the dispenser control panel and see if the Control Lock is enabled. If it is, disable the Child Lock feature according to the directions in your owner’s manual.
