Apparently we have a bad refrigerator compressor, which is covered by warranty, but was a bad compressor at the time of original repair SIX MONTHS AGO. We were very concerned at that time that we had a bad compressor, and we discussed it with the original tech. On his recommendation we had to pay almost $800 to replace covered filter, and original tech evidently did not do additional work to confirm if compressor was bad or not. The original tech told us that if compressor does go out within his repair service warranty period, his repair fee would be applied toward the 2nd repair. NOW we find that it was a bad compressor to begin with- WITHIN the original repair warranty period. BUT WE will have to pay the cost of labor to perform the same operations as before, to replace the filter AGAIN, and the compressor. Six month old filter was damaged because of bad compressor that was not replaced during the original service call. Today's Tech's Supervisor said we will have to PAY ADDITIONAL "troubleshooting" charge to confirm it was a bad compressor originally, BEFORE Sears, home services will consider reimbursing/applying the original charge to this repair, and the troubleshooting may cost more than what we will have to pay in labor to replace the covered compressor and 6 month old filter, which should not have gone bad if the compressor was working properly. We should not have to be charged for the same labor to do the same operations over again let alone a mysterious "troubleshooting fee". we would like to discuss this with Customer Relations Head ASAP as we need to make a decision on what to do about a refrigerator. We are also having to consider the cost of the loss of food. For today, we held off on making that decision until we hear from Home# services. Please have someone call us ASAP !!!!!

I was very pleased with how quick Curtis assessed our dryer problem. Due to the age of the dryer, we chose not to repair but just maintain, which was done quickly, yet he left a mess inside the dryer tub. There was a small blob of black, greasy, substance, on one of the fins as well as a bunch of dust in the tub. I needed to clean it out before i could use it. Then he left as quickly as he got here. I am generally happy with the outcome and our decisions, but someone needs to clean up after himself a bit better.

Once the technician got there 24+ hours late, he did a good job and was helpful. Communication with Sears was absolutely horrible. They did not communicate they over booked themselves and they were going to reschedule me. I spent the whole 8-5 window waiting for them. When I try to called I could not talk to anyone, I could only push numbers that did not fit my situation. I could not get an update from them and could not talk to a person. I finally got a text the following day saying a tech would be there at 9:25. He was a couple hours later than that, but he did call me to let me know. I will never use AHS or Sears again.

This guy was much better than our previous repairman sent by Sears for a different item, however it cost me additional money for stuff not covered by Choice. But he was on time and finished timely and cleaned his area up nicely so 👍
