Policy Change
Chris was very cordial in his dealings with me, but I was amazed at his attitude to be paid before he even did anything such as checking the ice maker. This made me feel like he was more concerned about being paid versus focusing on the real problem. If this is Sears way of making someone dislike their policies add me to the list.

Nothing Accomplished After 4 Months Of Waiting
The first serviceman here to fix this problem was on May 6, 2024. The one here today was named Todd and he said he was here on May 6th but don't remember the problem. On May 6th when I explained the problem but couldn't demonstrate it, he said it sounded like an element was going bad and he immediately ordered one. Since then we have been waiting patiently for that element to show up. Apparently, it is no longer made because he keeps getting the wrong part, according to him. Now because the element in the range is still functional, Todd closed out the case because he can't get the correct part. That leaves us in limbo because we were told the part was defective on the first call on May 6th and now it is OK? I don't believe it. I am supposed to hear from Sears Warranty Department today because of my service agreement with them. I don't believe that either because I was told that before and never got a call, as promised. Sears created a case number 7807561 on June 3, 2024. I was told that the case had been escalated in order to replace the oven all together. On the 12th of June I called back and they said the case had been escalated and I would hear from them within 48 - 72 hours. They never contacted me. Now, once again, I am told my case has been closed. WHY??? I guess my Sears Master protection Agreement isn't worth the paper it is written on.

Did his job
Todd was a little difficult to get to understand our issues. He came in the first time, was polite and responsive to our issues, but we had to repeat multiple times what our issues were. He knows his job, is very functional, able to do what needs done when he determines what is needed. He just seemed to just have a hard time diagnosing and understanding what needed done. Very nice man, very polite, hard worker, very conscientious. Not really well at communicating so we just had a hard time. He left the parts that he replaced on the counter, and didn't tell us why and what we are to do with them. He originally came in with parts to work, asked us what he was repairing then had to go back out and get the new parts for our dishwasher. I want to emphasize he did a decent job, just seemed like he had other things on his mind. The main reason we gave a 4 star was we were scheduled for our appointment on Saturday between 12-5. He called at about 11:30 and said he would be a little late, probably about 5:30. We waited till 6:30 and looked on line and found he wasn't coming and had rescheduled us for the following Tuesday from 8-12. We changed appointments on the Saturday to be there and he never showed up, called, texted or emailed. We were a bit upset that we sat all day waiting.
