Manuel's Good - but scheduling too long

Manuel was very good and knowledgeable. but I was without a dishwasher for almost 3 weeks --which wasn't Manuel's fault. I Had the part on my table for over a week ! Way too long

The Sears phone technician, after listening to my description of the problem, ordered parts (dryer moistu, thermistor, dryer idler, valve, drum roller, belt) and advised that all parts should be installed. When my in-home technician arrived I informed him about the parts. He stated that he would decide what needed to be installed. He listened to the dryer and determined that the gas flame was shutting down prematurely due to inadequate venting (the vent had been cleaned 2 weeks ago). He said we could prove it by disconnecting the vent, but that he was not allowed to do that so I would need to disconnect it. (Isn't checking the venting part of the diagnosis? What if I wasn't home - my wife couldn't do this). The flame did stay on much longer with the vent disconnected. He said the vent distance to the roof was just too long, that he had seen this before in houses like mine. He then cleared an error code which he said might have been causing another problem. He never opened the machine or checked/changed any parts. My disappointment is that he pursued nothing besides the vent and error code. I've had Sears contracts on my appliances for many years, and I was pleased with the call from the phone technician and pre-order of parts, which seemed to be an excellent business model for the Sears Protect Home Warrantee. The in-home technician seemed very knowledgeable, but I have asked my neighbors in the exact same home model and none of them are having this problem, so this is puzzling. Had he opened the machine and confirmed its proper operation I wouldn't have been left quite as disappointed. At this point I'm not quite sure that the machine is working as best it can be.

The job has finally been completed after 4 visits from Sears. Not a good look. Especially each visit I had to be available for 4 hours. My time has value too. Additional, the service person left several cardboard boxes in my house. That should not be my responsibility to get rid of them. I am offended by that lapse in responsibility. I am seriously thinking of whether I should continue with this insurance policy and then if it's worth it

Refrigerator repair-no ice from icemaker

My 1st appointment was scheduled and kept on June 1st between 8am-12pm. He took out the icemaker and other parts. He also checked the wiring on the bottom of the door and said the wiring was to short for him to repair. The next step was to s/w Harel and Tim in Chicago who advised door wire or casket to be checked and replaced. Received and appt for today June 18th only to be told by Harel there was nothing he could do but take more pictures and send them in. It has been 3 weeks and no repair work has been done, no acceptable alternate options given to solve this problem.

I keep calling for the same things to be fixed and every time he says that it's fixed it's never fixed am so frustrated with the service I don't know why am paying for insurance I may find a different insurance to fix my appliances
