Sear Service
Why is the time window 8:AM-5:PM? Not too many years ago, customers were given the option of 8:AM-12:PM or 1:PM-5:PM. It is very hard to block out an entire day, but it is a lot easier to block out half a day. It would seem to me that if you truly are interested in customer SERVICE, you would do this.

Repair latch on dishwasher.
Lemon R courteous, professional and completed the job to my satisfaction. However, the telephone experience leading up to scheduling the appointment, was not satisfactory. Not being able to talk directly to a customer service rep, was very frustrating. I was on the verge of cancelling my home warranty.

Cheikh was good. Sears was terrible!
Our technician, Cheikh, was friendly, smart, and quickly found the problem with our ice maker. He ordered a new part which took 2 months to arrive. The part had been substituted and did not fit. He re-ordered it and, you guessed it, it has not arrived! After THREE MONTHS of waiting, I canceled the order and asked for my money back. We'll see if I get it. Sears has a phone number that has the most complex automated phone tree you can imagine. If you are fortunate enough to speak to a person, it hard to understand the heavy accent and they are patronizing without offering any solutions. And they use hard sell tactics to sell their too expensive maintenance warranty. My advice to anyone looking for appliance repair is to look elsewhere. There was a time when I purchased my appliances from Sears and they provided any repairs or services I needed. How far this once great company has fallen!

Third Visit, Dishwasher Still Broken
Charles is the third Sears technician to come out to fix my dishwasher (after Daniel K and Mahmood) and much like the other two, he left without fixing my dishwasher after I already paid. However he's the first one to claim I need a plumber to fix an elbow fitting which you would think is something an appliance technician should be able to handle. Much like the others, he saw a complicated repair job and came up with whatever excuse he could think of to not do the work (Mahmood claimed he didn't have the parts he needed without telling me what part was missing, Daniel K took a quick look and said he needed parts that Mahmood claims were insufficient). I expect a full refund seeing as my dishwasher was never fixed and I'm now told Sears can't fix it. I had a different company come out and fix my dishwasher with no issues a day later. Didn't need a plumber.

Fridge not working properly….AGAIN
Fridge was working when technician left. Two hours later nothing is working again. He told me if problem occurred again to push button at top of fridge and everything would work but nothing is working, no water, ice, no lights inside fridge.
