One of the worst experiences I've ever had, from beginning until end, from the time I placed the first phone call and had the first appointment until the work was finally finished eight months after making that call!!

2 hours on the phone with sears and GE trying to figure out why!!!! Score of -10. No call, no notice after getting updated on the status of my appointment saying he was on his way.

Horrible Service

The service technician did not arrive until after 5pm, when the window given was 8am to 5pm (which is a ridiculous window of time). He seemed incompetent from the start, as if he had never worked on a washer or dryer like ours before. He tightened a few screws on the dryer and claimed it was fixed. It was not. Then he ordered parts for the washer repair, and scheduled the repair date more than two weeks out. That date was today. Again, we had an 8am to 5pm window, and he didn't show. I called the appliance warranty company, who contacted the technician, and they told me it was a two person job, and the tech didn't have a second person. It was no surprise that it was a two person job, he knew that when he scheduled it two weeks ago that there would need to be two workers. Even worse, I only learned about this after 5pm, and when I called. No one called me. A few minutes after my call, I received an email rescheduling for March 4. We cannot be available on that date. It is impossible to reach anyone at this company, so now we're left with a washer that's not functioning properly for another week or more. I have already informed the appliance warranty company that the technician is not welcome back at our home. He disrespected our home as well, using the bathroom without first asking, and using a private bathroom that is NOT for guests. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Your representative signed a flashlight into a solid black faceplate looked under the sink played on his phone and then told me the charge was going to be approximately $850. He did nothing to troubleshoot it, he has the wrong type of appliance on his paperwork it is not a GE, he wanted to get back to Northern Virginia it was quite obvious because before before he even started he wanted me to find the warranty. He is definitely giving your company a very bad name. Absolute waste of time, he talked down to me as a woman, and he believes me to be stupid, I sat in the kitchen and watched him.

Oven repair, Choice Home Warranty

I am deeply disappointed in the visit yesterday (11/14/23). I was not able to talk to a technician prior to the visit. It would have been very helpful if someone had contacted me to discuss the issue and they would have been more educated about the issue. I knew the issue was likely the igniter part for the oven, but could have provided the information (more in-depth symptoms, model make and number, etc) that the tech could have been more prepared for the service call and had the part with him in order to make repairs more efficiently. It is my understanding that igniters are a pretty common problem. So this process (and not being able to reach anyone via phone for more discussion) has caused the oven to not be repaired - and more inconveniently - just as the holiday is approaching. Additionally, i had to sit here at the house beginning at 8am until his arrival - at 2pm. I could have run errands in the morning prior to his visit. The time range given to me was 8am -5pm - which is UNACCEPTABLE!! I had hopes that the warranty company would have chosen to use a more local contractor, but this one came from Richmond. In short, i will never knowingly use this contractor again. If rated, i would say 1 star out of 4.
