Rick was very professional and found the problem
Rick was great. The first tech that came out did not have a clue. Rick came out to install the parts the first tech thought was the problem. Rick found that she didn't get to the actual root cause. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because of his association with A&E Sear Home Services. They have the most impersonal phone, website and overall support. You are not allowed to talk to anyone live except on chat. On chat they only have so much information (and I think most of them are overseas). If a part is backordered (like mine was), they only notify you thru email that the part is delayed with no estimated date. Several agents I conversed with would or could not find an estimate until the last one (I think her name was Karen Green) was able to tell me the part would ship in the next couple days and would be arriving this week. If I clicked the status of my service on Monday(8/7/23), it still said the part was still on backorder while I had the part in my hands. I would find another company to fix your appliance. Their customer service just plain sucks. But if A&E sends Rick, at least you got one that will figure it out.

Refrigerator Ice Maker Repair
Unfortunately, I need to inform you that the ice machine is still not working. The repairman arrived first thing this morning around 9:00 AM, but as of 4:30 PM, the machine remains non-functional. The repairman mentioned that he left the ticket open in case he needed to return, and it appears that will be necessary. Service repair
Austin was very nice but I'm not sure he knew what to do. I had requested 2 men because it is a large unit, this was my second visit. He had trouble from the start, he was on the phone getting instructions for over an hour off and on. Finally declared someone would contact me. The temperature will be going up and it will be like an oven! I am a third generation Sears user but I regret ever buying from Sears now. It's hard to get any satisfaction on the phone because the representative isn't in the US and gives Pat answers and is hard to understand to boot!

Service Order Closed Without Verifying Satisfactory Function
Austin came as a result of a home warranty claim. Austin was on time, courteous and orderly with his assessment and performed a repair, but left without fully verifying proper function. We attempted to use as soon as Austin left and washer is non-functional. Austin would have noted that if he had tested full functionality after his repair. Attempted immediate contact with Austin on the number he called from without success. Attempted a call back to warranty company within 2 hours of repair and was told that Austin had not communicated with the warranty company regarding the repair or worked performed which would delay any determination. Warranty company would attempt to reach out to Sears Home Services for verification of work performed. Next day, did not receive a call or text or any communication from Austin, from Sears Home Services, or from warranty company. Attempted contact to Sears Home Service referenced the work order number but was informed work order had been closed and the repair was complete and no further action would be performed. However, the "completed" repair didn't actually bring the appliance to full functionality. Sears Home Service said they could not amend the work order and could not request a follow-up with Austin and that I would have to initiate the follow-up myself through our warranty company. After calling warranty company a second time, was informed there was no communication from Sears Home Services and would have to request another technician visit. After 2 weeks down and now an additional week to wait (Sears couldn't send a technician for another 7 days even though we were told the work order would receive high priority) for reassessment, possible additional parts order and more waiting, decided to cut our losses, cancel the claim, junk the machine and just buy a new one because our busy family couldn't wait for 2 more week's back and forth with no resolution. We wish Austin had checked his work. Might have changed this outcome.

Unprofessional
I only give austin two stars because in the end He solved the problem. He was very unprofessional and did not want to check out the washer just in case It was another issue. What he said didn't fix the problem. He said that he could not unhook and hook water hoses to the washing machine. Which I had to do myself in order for him to trouble shoot. Additionally, he was very rude to me in his tone. In his action, he rolled his eyes he hum hoed and sighed. He Was also rude to my husband whenever he called because he could not find our home. He needs a lesson in professionalism And customer service.

No Fix
Service was for fixing uneven mowing. The mower continues to mow unevenly and the belt smoked and came off the deck. Tech cleverly test mowed an area very lightly so that we could not see that it was not improved. The mower is old and if it was not fixable he should have said so.

Never showed up
The technician never showed up at the required time on my account, which was order 000842011010171 he put that nobody answered the door when I called Sears. He wrote down that no one answered the door and no one ever came to my house. I've been sitting here waiting all day Since 8 AM and now it's 2 o'clock and they told me I have to reschedule
