UGH. The worst. He was supposed to show up between 1140 and 1230, and didn’t get there till nearly 3 o’clock. Took one look, said it was unrepairable, but it still charged me the $130 (which is higher than the diagnostic fee that they put on the page this is $119). I will never ever shop at Sears again; no wonder they went bankrupt.

Couldn’t find parking, was the excuse , nobody wants to work. I even went as far to call our maintenance area to allow them to park their van which I might add at least five service vans parked on that block daily (it’s downtown). But nonetheless, our maintenance team and provided parking in our basement, but still was told they couldn’t do it.

We called Sears Appliance Repair about a leak code coming up on our dishwasher. The tech came out and, since it wasn't an obvious leak with water all over the floor, spent some time trying to find out why it kept coming up. He identified what it might be, but couldn't reproduce the fault. He collected the $140 diagnostic fee, left and told us that if it showed up again, just call Sears and they would send someone out at no charge. It showed up again, we called, they set up another service call. It was set up as a first time call (costing another $140). When I told the tech that it was supposed to be a call back, he cancelled the service call. I called Sears again. Again they set up another service call and assured me multiple times that it would be a call-back, not a first time call. The tech showed up and said he needed to collect the $140 diagnostic fee. He eventually found the notes from the first tech, looked at the dishwasher, found evidence of a prior leak, could not get it to leak while he was here. Left, and said if we got the leak code to call back and they would send someone out on a call-back. We got the leak code again about half way through the 3 hour wash cycle. Called Sears AGAIN, they said they would set it up as a call-back AGAIN, this time I was able to talk to a manager. Manager assured me it would be set up as a call-back, no $140 diagnostic fee charge. The tech has been messaging me today telling me that I'll need to pay the $140 diagnostic fee AGAIN. All of this would be much easier, I believe, if I could consistently talk to a person instead of being locked into their automated system that doesn't have options to address my situation.

We had a guy named Philip come fix our dishwasher it took him 3 hours to do one job we paid before he came out but we didn't notice until later on that night that he damaged more than what he fixed, it kept running after he was done and wouldn't shut off buttons got stuck because of the damage he did to it he dented our dishwasher to the point were it wont open at all it is leaking bad and it wasn't like that before he came out. Yall should really charge the clients after the job is done and to make sure the client is happy with the job. He barley talked to us about it didn't leave a business card. But a expert came out his name was chris and was baffled at the damage that was done he was so attentive to our questions. And we were charged 500 dollars only for him to damage it more than fixing it

Edit: I have been calling that number for a whole year and they always give me the same answer- that they are going to send a message to a manager to get in contact with me but they never do. I keep calling and calling but it’s always the same, pure deception and lies. Last year I had a repair on my refrigerator and the parts that the technician ordered didn’t end end up being used so I returned them (I have the return receipt). I submitted a claim for reimbursement on the parts and as of today I have not been reimbursed. My refrigerator stopped working again in May so I called them to fix it. I was charged but the part needed was on back order so my fridge was never fixed. I’m also waiting to be reimbursed for that. Extremely bad service - non reputable company. I will never buy from them again.

Sears has been assigned for a Home Warranty claim. After 3 visits, 3 no-shows, 3 months, and no one to call in the Sears service department, I'm exhausted. Each visit is a new repairman with no knowledge of the previous visits. The claim is still not closed out. It's sickening. The only good part that I've seen is that they do automated text to know when appointments are scheduled or parts are ordered.

My husband and I were appalled at the technicians, lack of Concern and care regarding the repair of our appliance. His only concern was getting that waiver signed. We will not recommend him or this company in the future.

Edit: I have reached out to the Sears Appliance Facebook folks and they have now twice requested follow-up from the Sears billing department, and I have yet to hear anything. Overall, the absolute worst appliance repair experience of my life. Sears has more or less stolen $291 from me and held it hostage by dragging their heels on my refund since I returned the parts I paid for in January. I still have not received my refund now at the end of March. The window of time for the refund being processed has steadily grown and the start date has reset, from 5-7 business days to 7-10 to 10-14 to now 14-21 business days. No refund as of today, March 29. I scheduled a repair for my washer in January. Tech came out, ordered some replacement parts that I prepaid $390 for, scheduled a follow-up with a second tech to install the parts once they came in. Second tech did his own diagnosis and said that some additional parts would likely be necessary, taking the repair well beyond the cost of a new washer. I declined, accepted the $99 diagnostic/trip fee for declining a repair, and handed the parts back to the tech. Fast forward two and a half months, Sears has yet to issue me my refund and claims that I've not returned the parts yet, and that I need to provide a receipt for a face-to-face interaction whereby the Sears tech took the parts back on his Sears truck. I contacted the second technician again and he told me that he had submitted a second return form to Sears on March 7. He said that somehow the first form had fallen through the cracks. Phone reps are not empowered to do anything or allow any kind of escalation. On top of that, they are totally disconnected from local repair offices. The *only* communication I've had so far is when I call in to ask for status yet again. Sears has *never* contacted me since the original appointment, despite numerous and repeated promises from Sears' phone reps. This has been a miserable, frustrating experience and I will do all I can to warn people off ever using Sears' repair services. To be clear, the second tech was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to act on some pretty vague noise information I gave him. But the rest of everything about Sears is completely dysfunctional.
