Nice that Mike did call us about an hour before he showed up. Put all the parts in but the ice maker still does not work. Will have to call today to have some one come out and look at it again.

My fridge is still not fully functional. It is requiring another visit from Sears. This failure is going into 3 months in the highest temps that we have seen. There is another visit scheduled from Sears. It would be nice to have ice in 95 degree temperatures.

I am very disappointed with Sears. The service and customer service has gone downhill. My husband and I have been Sears customer for over 36 years and have received the service agreement for over 32 years. The first call for the dryer I took off and no one showed up. The greeting was not positive, but I do not know what he encountered before coming to our house. The dryer vent was one of the reasons and the technician took 10 minutes trying to call his supervisor and other technicians to back up his statement that the Sears technician does not handle that. This is enough time to either do the job or leave. The services that Sears has removed from the service agreement is an insult. Bad service, lack of communication from the call center to the technicians=bad business.

Technician was rather rude. He was short and abrupt and didn't know if he fixed the freezer. Plugged it in and said wait and see if it works. Said we'd have to place a new service call and pay again if it doesn't work.

Refridgerator repair

He was just in a hurry to leave and said fridge was going in defrost mode would take 15 to 20 mins then he left fast. but the fan would come on and kick off after 2 seconds it has a code on the door SY EF.. I told him last time might be something else wrong because kept hearing a knocking sound. But he said his last day working at sears earlier. A good technician would have stayed and ran a diagnostic on it to be safe.

Dismissive

Mike was dismissive from the beginning of the service call. When he called before his arrival, he asked what was the problem with my washing machine and I explained the issue. Again upon his arrival, he asked me again. I told him I had made a video of issue so he could see and hear the noises it was making. He didn't care to see it, just started pushing buttons on the machine. When I told him again about watching the video so he could see and hear what it was doing, he finally did. After watching the video, he concluded that the machine was out of balance and that was why it was making the loud noises. At this point he had decided there was nothing wrong with my machine. I asked if that was the issue, why did the machine not relay the message and stop itself after trying several times to get up to the spinning level? The machine is only a year old and the loud noises it was making had just started happening. The noises had not been there the week before….. He ask me what did I want him to do? Start just taking it apart and messing with something in "his opinion" wasn't broke? He said by opening the machine up he could break something and lose screws….Really????? He then stated that he didn't know if I was one of those "anal people" that when you hear a noise you think something is wrong. Well when the machine last week did not make the loud knocking and squeaking noises, yes I do think something might be wrong. He then basically stated that just wait until it breaks. Plus he didn't carry around parts anyway so if it did have any issue, I would have to wait several WEEKS for any parts.

Bad attitude/ No show

Called me at 8:12 am. Asked a few questions about my washer. Said he would be here in the morning, depending on his earlier calls. My husband called him at 12:45. He told him we thought you would be here this morning, asked if he might know when he would be here he said he was stuck on a call he didn't know. My husband then asked if he might give a rough estimate. He then threw out 3pm with a bad attitude. My husband then said a call would have been appreciated. He said I don't do secretarial work. My husband then just hung up. He had a bad attitude the whole time. The text kept updating when he would be here pushing it later and later. The last update was 6:30 pm then around 4:12 it said your service tech. Has arrived. He was not here, and he would not answer phone calls. Bad attitude, bad customer service.
