Technicians went above and beyond when trouble shooting issue with oven. Code on oven was incorrect pertaining to actual issue with oven. Technician followed appropriate manual steps to problem solve. Expert knowledge noted oven code was incorrect then acknowledged parts ordered and received were inappropriate. Oven had actually shorted when diagnostics were running internally to reset oven after cleaning cycle. A part small and normally insignificant had broken off. Technician replaced and retired new part to oven.
