Good repair experience
Our washer needed repair, so I called Sears Home Services. The customer service rep was polite and helpful. My appointment was scheduled in 3 days, sometime between 8 am and 5 pm. That's a big time range, so I had to take the day off from work. On the day of my appointment, I got a text with the time (a half-hour range) that the repairman would arrive. He arrived during that time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told me the price. I agreed, and he got the needed part from his truck and installed it. My repairman was polite and worked quickly. I highly recommend Sears Home Services!

Some comments on the repair.
The technician did the repair efficiently. He did fine. Getting the repair scheduled was not fine. This was the fifth try. In other words, it was scheduled 4 other times. Each time it would come to the end of the day and the notice would change to "reschedule". I'd get a call to pick another date with the person not knowing the history. Next to last person said they would give it priority. Same thing happened. I re-explained this to the last person who called to reschedule. She did add notes, asked for it to be scheduled as the first appointment of the day. That worked. I was thankful to her for taking the time to do that and resolve the scheduling problem. The whole process took almost a month. There were 4 other days when I needed to wait all day with no visit. Also, couldn't find a way to contact a human to discuss this proactively. Thankfully, the last person and the repair person did their job well.
