I am only rating the actual service work provided by Sears Appliance Repair which was EXCELLENT. The technician was very knowledgeable about the product and the repair was completed in an appropriate amount of time. I have a serious problem with their AI (artificial Intelligence) that generates automatic messages to both my email and texts to my cell phone. If I could rate it separately, it would receive a negative number. In a period of just over 15 days, I received no less that 40 emails and 22 text messages. Many were constant repeats, or notices that the technician would be arriving in 3 days, 2 days, 1 day, etc. The AI asked me to confirm my appointment multiple times by answering with a 1. I would do that and sometimes receive the same message that same day and/or very next day. The AI repeatedly told me that my service date was NOT confirmed and made it appear that my appointment was not going to happen. Even the service tech was not immune. I watched him be interrupted repeatedly by the AI. Based n his reaction alone, it was some of the same nonsense that I was receiving. Being the kind person I am, if it was up to me, I would fire the entire IT department for creating such a monster. Calling the existing system artificial INTELLEGENCE must be one of those oxymoron's I have heard of. While it is obviously artificial it is a long way from being intelligent. I also had a minor problem with the call center during the only time I talked to a real person in a foreign country. The first person who answered the phone took down all of my information before transferring me to a second person to actually schedule the appointment. The second person was clueless about who I was or why I was calling so I had to repeat everything again. Neither was professional and it was obvious they were just following a script without knowledge of what I needed. THEY, also failed to correct my initial mistake about the make/model of the equipment, so the technician was provided the wrong information about my needs. The call center seemed more concerned about Upselling me additional services at an additional cost. Why two people in a foreign country? Why not one person in America like it was? Money? Greed? Incompetence? All or more? My Technician was also provided with a cell phone out of another state that did not identify him as a Search Technician in the caller ID. Considering the number of number of scam calls I receive on a DAILY basis, I almost ignored his initial call. Had I done that, I would probably have placed his number in my BLOCKED CALL list. Why not provide your technicians with a PROFESSIONAL phone number that properly identifies them to your customer? If I was basing my customer rating of Sears Appliance repair on my experiences with the Call Center and the AI, I would NEVER use them again. Only my EXCELLENT interaction with the technician caused me to save this company for any future use.
