He was very fast and knowledgeable, a bit pricy just to change a belt, but it is what it is.

The service Tec's have always been great Jon is a great man ,very respectful gets the job done with any questions answered . The problem is NOT with the service . It's GETTING the service someone to talk to without the never ending loops on the phone or the VERY DYSFUNCTIONAL web site . It's very sad that the only way to get a response from anyone to to complain on FaceBook, Amazing a response in seconds .I would think that's NOT what you would want people to see.

My technician was very knowledgeable about washers and dryers but only knew how to do the basic checks of the protection plan coverage on my other appliances. He was friendly and nice, but thank goodness there was nothing wrong with my stove, dishwasher or refrigerator because he told me he wouldn't be able to fix them if there was. The last technician I had do this last year told me I should have my oven recalibrated every year, but this tech didn't know how to do that. It seems their training and procedures are not consistent for all technicians. They don't seem to agree on what must be done at each checkup.

Customer service response - Thank you for your feedback, Carol. We apologize for any inconsistency in service and appreciate your insights, which help us improve our training and procedures.

Felt like a scam. I should have realized when they kept emphasizing the $129 diagnostic fee if you don't use them for the repair. For a dryer thermostat/high temp fuse replacement they wanted $600 ($200 parts, the rest labor and taxes) Even the Sears website lists the parts as $80 total and I got them for less than $20 on Amazon. For an experienced technician, this would be a 1 hr repair. The tech was a nice guy, but not worth $400/hr. These would just be high prices, but the scam part is that they try to sell you their home warranty for a discount on the current repair. So you can either pay v high repair prices or opt in to their monthly fee for short term savings (and still very high prices). And if you don't, then they still get their $129 diagnostic fee. Add: I ordered the parts for less than $20 and I, a person with zero experience and only a manual screwdriver, was able to do the repair in ~1.25 hours. Their labor estimate was ludicrous.

The technician was absolutely wonderful however, the Sears home warranty process was not so wonderful my oven broken in July. They came out several times and said they had to order parts. It’s the end of November and I can’t make Thanksgiving dinner. They’re finally replacing my oven which won’t be here until the first week in December. I’m paying for this every month and they should’ve acted a lot sooner. I’m very disappointed however the technician was wonderful.
