Great Tech, Very poor scheduling and use of Sears Protect
William did a great job identifying the problem quickly once he arrived. He did not have the part and said it would be after the new year to repair a grandmother's oven and be unable to bake her Christmas cookies for the grand and great-grandkids. Luckily, I Googled the problem and pre-ordered all of the possible parts. This allowed him to complete the repairs and allow the Christmas cookies to be made. We purchased a Sears Protect service contract but could not use it because I scheduled the appointment online and not via the 800#, which was never communicated. The other issue was the original appointment was scheduled for a week earlier but was canceled just hours before the arrival time due to a tech issue. No effort was made to get an earlier appointment. I even asked for an early appointment on the rescheduled day, which was not honored. William was a great tech, and I would give him five stars. The process of scheduling, rescheduling, communications, and the Sears Protect is a Zero Star. The worst thing was how hard Sears made it to reach a real person who could help solve problems.

Incomplete
After Mr. Reginald installed the piece to the washing machine, he tested it and it seemed to go through the cycles. Therefore , I assumed the work was complete, until I put a load of clothing into the washer, half filled, as suggested. Once the washer went into the spin cycle it began hitting the machine walls. I paused the washer and readjusted the half filled load and got the same result. I would appreciate it if Mr Reginald will return and complete the job without charging an extra fee and less wait time. Thank you.

Technician is fine but sears overall service bad
Technician is fine. But overall experience is not. It took one and a half month to get the washer fixed. When 2nd time parts requirement was placed. Nobody checked the approval provided for that or not. That should have been done from Sears perspective. Nobody placed the order for the parts. When I called my warranty company to check on status. They said the case is closed. I had to ask them to reopen the case and set for appointment so that I can ask the people to order the part. I didn't have any means to talk to anyone in sears besides Regi, while his directions are one way. When Regi was scheduled to come then I told him nobody ordered the parts then he ordered the parts. I am not sure whose responsibility is that. That is something Sears need to address. Parts came but there is no way to confirm the parts arrival status. But I was keep getting call to confirm the parts arrival. Nobody told me how many packages supposed to come either. The automated machine was saying I have appointment scheduled. But Regi didn't have my appointment. I had to try rescheduling so that he will get the intimation. That is what happen. Washer got fixed after one and half month. That is not acceptable. It could have been better. The communication and the way this whole thing happened is not good. My rating is for overall experience not for the technician.

Technician lied to my face
Requested a service for outdoor unit not functioning. The technician was here for all of 10 minutes and told me I had no power at my disconnect for the unit, told me there was nothing he could and to call an electrician I have 120V coming in to the disconnect and 120V coming out and going to the unit. He either lied to me because it was raining and did not want to perform any real diagnosis, or he doesn't know how to use a voltmeter. This is unacceptable. I can provide pictures of my meter with the leads attached to the disconnect for proof.

SERVICE CALL FOR WASHING MACHICE
REGINALD NEEDS TO ACTUALLY COME TO MY HOUSE. NOT JUST PASS OFF THE PAPER WORK AS IF HE DID SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE. NOT SIGN MY NAME WITH AN "X". I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE PROVIDER.

Customer Service Leaves A Lot to Be Desired
The actual appointment went very well. Afterwards, a nightmare. The technician advised that I needed a compressor and dryer and that I needed to order the parts from LG. I attempted to place the order but LG advised that Sears needed to place the order—the customer cannot. I gave them the technician's contact information. LG call me back and advised that the technician told them that they needed to understand their protocol and then hung up. He did not pickup my calls. I finally reached someone after 3.5 hrs who proceeded to make another appointment for A WEEK LATER so that the technician could come to my home and order the parts. You read that correctly. The only resolution is another technician coming to my home —A WEEK LATER — for the sole purpose of ordering parts. Inefficiency and lunacy, thy name is Sears. My receipt is also of concern. Sears advertises that the diagnostic charge will be applied to the bill, if you agree to the repairs. The technician billed me for "Labor" and "waived" the diagnostic charge. The customer service rep couldn't explain this and tried to send me to billing. After an entire morning and part of the afternoon just trying to get assistance, I just gave up. This is the last time that I will ever use this service.
