The repair people were great. The system for making a claim and setting appointments is awful. The means to finding a human being with whom to speak was abysmal and byzantine. After multiple and time consuming attemts, I got a fellow who was helpful making changes I needed. But these were not communicated to the actual repair people b4 they arrived. This system needs much more transparency and far less A I.

We had repair tech come out a week ago to look at our malfunctioning LG washer. He was neither friendly or helpful and did not explain the problem. Sears refunded my diagnostic fee and sent another tech today (Virgil!) who was Friendly, thorough, and diagnosed a completely different problem...but explained in a way I could understand! Overall, I would not use Sears again for scheduling an appliance repair.

I believe the repair person, Virgil, did what he could. We needed a warranty part and LG & the Sears service manager couldn't figure out how to get it for us. We wasted 4 weeks and hours on the phone with LG people trying to get the part. Not sure why this was so hard, but I didn't buy another LG refrigerator! The rating should have been lower, but I feel the repairman really tried everything to get the warranty part.

Pros: The technician, Virgil, called with ETA, and quickly installed the new sensor that had been sent to us in advance. He was thorough and helpful. 5 Stars for him. Cons: We upped our service date from 11/15 to 11/12 based on an AI generated message. After waiting ALL DAY (8am to 5pm) 11/12 for the service call, we received a message just after 5pm that our appt was rescheduled to 11/13...also 8am to 5pm. 0-1 star for lack of consideration for OUR time.

We have had an experience that ended with no solution. We have had service people in our home so frequently we felt like family, not a totally bad thing because Virgil was amazing. The problem was there is absolutely no way to speak to a representative when you have a question or need to confirm that the part has arrived. Doug was called in to assist Joseph with the problem and both worked hard to fix our issue but nothing could be done. We opted to cease and desist, with no solution. We are not being charged due to the inability of finding a solution

The person sent out to install the replacement parts ordered for my dryer was very resentful about having to make the service call as he was planning to take today as a vacation day. There has obviously been a breakdown in communication. For example, I was not notified until later in the day on Wednesday that my scheduled Wednesday appointed had been changed . I tried to reschedule (on line) for Friday but apparently that didn't work out as the serviceman came out this morning (Saturday). On a happier note, my dryer is now functioning.

Well, he determined that there wasn’t anything wrong with the dishwasher, but in taking some panels off the front to do his diagnostics, he didn’t put them back properly. So now it opens and closes with hesitation and a creaky sound. Therefore we had to schedule another visit.

Wanted $400 to fix a $20 motor for a fridge. Then charges me $139, because I canceled. The guy never opened the back of the freezer to even CHECK if it was the motor he just straight up told me $400. Keep in mind this was for my 91 year old grandmother, they tried to scam her.
