I previously had my first warranty with Select Home, they were terrible! They left a bad taste in my mouth, so I didn't get another one. In March of this year, Sears came out to service my refrigerator. At that visit the technician informed me about Sears whole house warranty. Taking advantage of the warranty, would allow me to cancel my service contract with another company (who provided maintenance on my HVAC system twice a year, that I paid yearly for and they didn't cover anything else). What sold me was they service any make/model, cover a wide range of appliances/systems and take care of maintenance for the HVAC---->free of charge. This year I've replaced my kitchen faucet and took care of a plumbing issue in my bathroom. I used Home Depot Repair Service and Ace Handyman Service. It costed more than it would have, if I had Sears whole house warranty. By far Sears is way more affordable and worth it!
