In December, I had a Sears repair person come to my home to diagnose my clothes dryer. He told me after taking it apart that there was nothing wrong with the dryer, that it was the electrical connection. I believed him, paid him the $125, wrote a good review because I thought it was a legitimate diagnosis. That same day I had my electrician come and check out the electrical connection. There was nothing wrong with it. Sears misdiagnosed the problem. Then I had to have another repair person check the dryer who determined that it was needing a heating element. I am seeking reimbursement from Sears due to the misdiagnosis which caused me to incur $225 additional expense for electrician and a second diagnosis. Sears policy is that the diagnosis fee is non refundable. However I am seeking a refund of $125 because they failed to diagnose the problem but charged me anyway, for a service that was not performed.
