Lucy was great...Sears as an entity is not easy to deal with
Lucy is fine, she did the best she could with what she had, which was nothing. Lucy tried to help me, but was sent out with no replacement parts, despite my informing the appointment rep that I simply needed a replacement cord for my Kenmore Elite Gas Stove...This wasn't rocket science; I knew exactly which part was needed, but did it make the truck? NOOO!!! All the call center had to do was tell me to get the order information off the side of the stove, and they could have sent the replacement part with Lucy, and saved me over a week of trying to figure out how to cook for my family. Sears, the disconnect between the appointment desk and the technicians is an issue that really needs to be addressed...They all need to be on the same page. When I called to set up my appointment; I was immediately answered by a human. When my appointment date arrived, whoever the assigned technician was, was a no-call, no-show...Sears, I really needed my stove that day, and your service was less than encouraging. Trying to call in with an "open" appointment is difficult at best. The computer service (if you can call it that) has zero allowance for transferring the caller to a human, and when I finally figured out how to get past it, the wait time was well over an hour...Really? No call-back feature? I had to wait a week for the part to arrive, and then make another appointment to have it installed, which took Lucy less than 20 minutes. Lucy did a great job, even going so far as to advise me on how to maintain my range top burners; I just don't appreciate having to wait eleven (11) days for what should have been a 24 hour service. I don't ever want to have to deal with the automated appointment system ever again...It is seriously flawed. I have never had an issue with Sears' service like this; you've got great products, which I hope to purchase in the future, but you really need to tighten up your customer service.

Constantine tech excellent - Sears customer srvce terrible!
It is so frustrating that I can't communicate with Sears any more. I have long standing warranties with them, and now there is no one to talk to when the technician doesn't show up. I had a maintenance check up, and the technician found a broken part. He made an appointment for it to be fixed the next week. The next week another technician came, but he didn't have the part. He ordered the part and made an appointment for it to be fixed the next week. The part arrived, but on Friday from 8 - 12 there was no technician. And none for the rest of the day either. I couldn't reach anyone to speak to. I made another appointment online for Monday 11-2pm. No technician showed up. At 3 pm Constantine, a lovely repairman, showed up and fixed it easily. But what terrible customer service! Abominable. Frustrating.
