Most common repairs needed to fix a Bosch dishwasher

    PCB Replacement

The PCB is the main electronic control board that controls dishwasher operations such as filling, washing, rinsing, draining and drying. When your Bosch dishwasher is not powering on, the PCB may be defective. Sometimes, you can reset the electronic control board by unplugging the dishwasher or shutting off the house circuit breaker for 5 minutes to completely disconnect power. Restore power to the dishwasher and the PCB will reboot and reset. If the dishwasher still is not powering on, schedule dishwasher repair service and we’ll send a Sears Home Services technician to your home to fix the problem.

    Power Supply Replacement

When your dishwasher has no power, a damaged power supply board could be causing the problem. The power cord connects directly to the power supply board and the power supply board sends power to the electronic control board to power up and operate the dishwasher. When your dishwasher is completely dead and it is getting power through the power cord, you’ll need to have a Sears Home Services Technician check out the power supply board and replace it if it’s damaged.

    Door Switch Replacement

When your Bosch dishwasher is not powering on, a failed door switch may be shorting out and drawing down the power to the user interface. The door switch is attached to the door latch assembly and it detects the position of the dishwasher door. When your Bosch dishwasher is not powering on and you suspect that a damaged or shorted door switch is causing the problem, schedule dishwasher repair service to have a Sears Home Services technician visit your home and examine the dishwasher. The technician will replace the door switch if it’s defective.

James called to give an estimated arrival time. He was professional and personable. He had 2 professional ideas of the problem and found 1 was correct, but he didn't stop there. He did a thorough check of the appliance. 1 small part was needed. He ordered the part to my house. Fortunately, he was able to schedule for the next week, just before Thanksgiving. As before, he called ahead, arrived and quickly fixed the problem. My appliance is working perfectly.
