After waiting since 2/13 for my washer to be fixed I finally had all the parts AND a tech here today. After watching my washer continually leak water after running a cycle I decided to look thru the boxes to see if they forgot any parts and found this part that was not installed. It just happens to also be the part where the leak is occurring. So frustrating!

The first guy came out and said my drain pump died and had to order one, said he would be back the following week once the part arrived to my house. I received a text with a different date of service almost a week later. I tried calling and Sears got rid of Human Customer Service and only had AI to which I went back and forth trying to get an earlier appt. because when I went online, it would not process the date it gave me as an option. I finally got the appt scheduled but never received a confirmation so the actual appt. never went thru. I was able to reschedule a cleaning for my dryer, but could not reschedule the washer which apparently needed a new drain pump. Jump to the tech finally coming to fix the washer and it was never broken, only had something lodged in the drain pipe. Which was great, he said he would return the drain and I'd be refunded. That was a month ago and I have yet to be refunded and despite my calls and attempts to resolve the fact I have not been refunded, I am just out the $150 bucks because at this point the stress and hassle of trying to get my money back from this company is outrageous and horrible. So despite the fact that they managed the repair...the whole process was obnoxious not being able to speak to a human - AI could only assist so far and it was not far enough to handle the situation. I will not be using this company again because they make you pay up front even before the service is completed and then heaven forbid the part isn't even needed, you can't get your money back

Do not use this service! It is a total scam. Vincent was so belligerent that I couldn't wait until he left. Charged $148.73 to tell me I needed a new compressor and that he couldn't get one- after only a few minutes. It's not just that, he didn't want to give me the part number and model number for me to research myself. He made even paying a challenge... You basically can't use check unless you sign some app. And to use credit he can't handle the info and must be done by phone... Its not just the process though it's his attitude about not communicating well or nicely about it. He also almost knocked over a bunch of bottles on a cupboard and really didn't care.
Customer service response - We're really sorry to hear about your experience. This isn’t the service we aim to provide. Please visit searshomeservices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 so we can help resolve this for you. Thanks for giving us a chance to make it right.

Yes I had a horrible experience with the company because I was told when the service was completed I owed nothing but in all my washer was finally fixed after 3 visits and after the washer was fixed my pipes broke and caused a huge leak in and all over my new shower wall and my laundry room floor and hallway and they made me wait until 3 pm the next day to send someone to tell me I owe after an unacceptable mess the repair man caused in my house now I owe and I have to wait for my homeowner insurance to come and fix their mess they left here at my house when I was told by 4 different employees that we don’t owe because we encountered problems with them attending to our washer problem even when I purchased the plan they told me I only owed 150 and I had a check ready to pay and they told me I owe nothing because it’s covered by the warranty I purchased.

I purchased a repair plan through LG premium care after my geek squad plan ended. I called six different phone numbers before I was actually able to speak to a person. At first, they couldn't find me even though I gave them my receipt number when I purchased it. I was transferred another three times. They may be do a virtual image of the problem with the dryer, so a tech could see that there was an issue. Finally, they schedule an appointment. That appointment had to be moved because they needed to order the parts. In order for them to be there before the technician comes to fix the dryer. The day the technician is to arrive they give me a window from 8am-5pm. They have a link that you click, and it gives you a more "accurate timeframe". It said the technician would arrive between 7:41am and 8:41am. Turns out it was eleven o'clock before they even updated the link. Now it says that the repairman would get there around 1:43pm. So the repairman calls me on the way and says who he is, and that he is coming to fix the washer. I said, no, it's the dryer, not the washer. He says, well, it says washer, I said, but if you look further, it lists the model number for the dryer and I have the dryer pieces already. So he calls the company and calls me back and says he is still on his way. So he arrives closer to 2pm. He comes in smelling like smoke so much so that it was triggering me to cough. He quickly takes the dryer apart and replaces the belt, and I believe a pulley. I ask him if I can vacuum up the lint. That is in the inside of the dryer. While I do that, he leaves and goes out to smoke again! He didn't ask if that would bother me or anything. I go out and let him know i'm done vacuuming. He closes up the dryer, runs it for a minute and says it's good and leaves that quickly. So while he is in the driveway, I continue to run it to make sure it's working properly. I realize it's making a noise that it did not make prior to being "fixed". I run out and I tell the technician that it's making a new sound. So he gets out of his truck begrudgingly, and listens to see if he can hear it. He looks at me and says" it sounds better than most of the dryers I fix". I made it clear that I don't care about other dryers. I just want mine to sound like it did before it needed to be repaired. I said it kind of sounds like grinding, we're rubbing. He says that the sound has nothing to do with the dryer, not running correctly and that the warranty doesn't cover that. He completely dismissed me! I'm so angry that it. It took so much effort to get ahold of someone and actually have a repair man come out, to just be dismissed. I was worried that now there's gonna be a new issue, but I keep calling sears, and no one answers. I'm so disgusted.I never had this issue before with geek Squad. I only bought this warranty because it was offered to me by LG after my other warranty ran out.

Horrible experience. First tech diagnosed dryer. I paid for parts and labor upfront. First available appointment to be fixed was in 2.5 weeks which was today. Sears sent an email rescheduling my appt for the 13th. I called and told them I do not accept the new appointment and to either fix it on my scheduled day or refund the money as it would have been a month without a dryer if they rescheduled me. They found someone to keep my original appointment. Tech came early, fixed dryer and left. First load put in 2 min after he left. 3 seconds in, it stopped working again. Texted tech. He eventually responded that at this point the dryer wasn't safe to fix and put in a request with sears for a full refund. I went and bought a new set at lowes then called sears to follow up with them and confirm the request was acknowledged on their end. Sears claimed they had no knowledge of the request put in by the technician and did not want to honor a full refund, but a partial refund for labor only. They insisted I pay for parts that were put in, though my dryer still did not work, and even though I had the text from the technician stating his submission with sears for a full refund. It took a lot of arguing with the people at the sears call center. The end result is sears is to send someone to pull out the parts that were put in, then I will get a full refund. This was agreed on only because I put up a fight for a full refund. They can have their parts back. I don't want them as the dryer does not work, but I'm not paying for parts or service where the result was the appliance still did not work, immediately after being serviced. It took multiple phone calls throughout the day where they were to send another tech out to fix it, but no one called to come. After calling sears again, the technician then responded it wasn't safe to fix. My third call was a fight with sears to acknowledge and confirm a full refund. Even if your appliance is not fixed, sears is going to try to charge you for parts in order to still turn a profit, if you let them, and leave you with an appliance that still does not work. This was my first experience with sears appliance repair and I will never use them again. It took too long to get fixed and they gave me a hard time. I will only call a local repair service from now on. *************** update******************* No one called or showed up to either fix the dryer or remove parts. This company is shady AF. First hint was paying upfront for parts and labor. Second hint was them shipping parts directly to my home under my name as if I had ordered them myself. I never had a repair service ship parts to my home like that. All packaging was removed by repair person. I don't know where to send them back to if I had someone rip them out. I was suggested I replace the thermostat just because it would be already open even though the thermostat worked fine. I got taken for over $300 in parts, no one responds to cone back out, the dryer still doesn't work, and sears will not honor a full refund unless they have the parts shipped back. They're scam artists. Don't go with them.
