The technician was unable to come to my original appointment (Dec.19th) due to scheduling conflicts. I waited for him to arrive the entire day and did not learn of this until that evening (5:37 PM). The technician did contact me and we arranged for him to contact me the next morning and to try to schedule me in on that day. A new time was scheduled for Dec 20th and Kevin arrived as scheduled. He was very courteous and did complete diagnostic checks on my washer and dryer. He indicated there were no problems with either machine and he left. About an hour and half later, I placed wet laundry in the dryer and turned it on. It made a very strange noise. I immediately turned it off and examined the dryer, discovering the exhaust tube was not contacted to the dryer, making it unusable. This was truly disappointing. I called Kevin and told him of the issue. He did call me back and offered to return later in the day. I explained my husband and I had investigated the issue, saw that tape had come off the tubing. We applied duck tape to the tube. Kevin indicated that he would have done the same thing since there was no clamp on the tubing. I was surprised to learn this since my machines were installed by Sears technicians and I thought the installation had been done properly. My husband and I will be clamping the tubing to ensure a secure connection. If any future issues occur we will not be working Sears and this makes me sad as we have been faithful customers of Sears since 1972.

The repair technician was nice enough, but did the things That I had told him I had already done to try to resolve the problem. He checked to make sure that the water softener was operating correctly from a mechanical standpoint, and then started a recharge and told me to call if it wasn’t fixed. He didn’t know extensive troubleshooting as I expected. Water continues to be hard.

The entire situation was that parts were ordered and delivered, then we received notification that the tech had changed the appointment out an additional 2 weeks. No notification, no text. ,all just didn’t show. Called my warranty company they didn’t know either. Very bad customer service.

We needed the refrigerator repaired. Waited 6 weeks after the initial visit. The repair guy wanted five hundred and fifteen dollars up front to come back and fix it later. Got a date to come out than the cancelled after I called from not hearing from them. Than cancelled again after getting rescheduled. Finally got them to come out on November 12th where with no heads up the guys was 2-4 hours late. The guy spoke little English and said It wasn't fix that to just buy some channel locks for the freezer keeps over freezing. What the hell?? My mom said she will be canceling the home warranty, she will be trying to get her money back since it's still not fixed, and we will never recommend sears to anyone in our lives again.

Technicians are lazy and do not want to put the work in to repair the fridge. One told me he didn’t want to spend two hours to replace the water line and to make another claim. Another tech told me the ice maker will freeze over when too full and wouldn’t fix the problem. Still don’t have water after three months.
