Very Good and Professional service repair.
Robert was excellent in diagnosing and attempted to repair a mis-diagnosis by another agent. He went beyond a repair attempting to remove spray foam insulation which had wires sealed which made part replacement impossible. My only drawback is the lack of callback to let us know the status of internal management decision for warranty replacement as I had other questions.

Ok
Jonathan was fine, did the work quickly and things seem to be working. My overall experience was not so good. After being told by the first technician, Terence, that we should cut off power 24 hours before our appointment and let the fridge defrost, we did that in preparation for our original appointment on 7/24. No one came on 7/24. We were not informed that our technician was delayed and were given No explanation until I chatted with someone via this page. They said there was a medical emergency and rescheduled the appointment for 7/26, two days later. Meanwhile we've got our stuff in ice chests for 4 days. When I asked that my appointment be prioritized and moved to 7/25, the chat person said they would contact schedulers and try to arrange that. Didn't hear anything else except a confirmation of my appointment on 7/26. Jonathan came 7/26 and did the job in half an hour. Hard to believe you couldn't come up with someone to do it in half an hour on 7/24 or 7/25.

Careless "diagnosis"
Tech told us there was "nothing wrong" with our refrigerator, misdiagnosing without bothering to get an actual problem description first. Finding was based on refrigerator compartment temp only, despite the problem being with the freezer (not freezing) and ice maker (not harvesting). From working with another tech (not Sears) we suspect low refrigerant levels, likely a freon leak , that Sears tech was meant to address. Symptoms include: compressor running extremely hot, freezer temp is too high and will not freeze, ice maker fails to harvest, fridge temp is cool but still higher than set temperature. Cooling system was never even looked at. One temp reading in the wrong place and the Sears tech was ready to call it a day. Apparently the fridge is still under the manufacturer's warranty for sealed refrigeration components. Tech advised us of this and split. Thanks? So now we call GE and wait another week at least before we have a functioning freezer. Awesome.

Same Recommended Repair
Terrence recommended same repair as first technician provided that did not work. We did it again plus replaced a gasket, but still have exact same problem. Neither technician took apart anything on refrig to check what might be going on. They see ice in lower part of refrig and assume it must be a common problem this refrig can have.
