Fred came as soon as he could in light of faulty contact info (My work # rather than my home number), and he showed me how to defrost the fridge to reset the cooling system. He didn't ultimately diagnose the problem b/c he said any of the posdibilities would cost over $400, more than I had budgeted. He was friendly and professional.

First, allow me the liberty of expressing my only positive response in this form: both repair persons will courteous and competant. Service in my home was fine. Now, the ineffable attempt to express my extreme disappointment(and near embarassment as a former Sears employee): The miscommunication and incompetance of the process of getting the repair was beyond expression in this form. At least three times, I received cancellation notices because "the necessary parts" were back ordered, inspite of the obvious parts in my hand. Phone calls upon phone calls through a maze of computer-generated options after (at least) three cancellations left me beyond frustrated. This speaks directly to the demise of a formerly fine retail and service organization that I enjoyed working part time within from 1976-1979. Rhetorically it explains how the former "World's Biggest Store" that sold everything from pre-fab Craftsman-style homes to auto serces to insurance, etc, is now reportedly down to 11 retail stores. Since retiring six years ago I purchaaed at least three Sears products that left me disappointed: a lawn mower that failed to work after less than two years and a refrigerator and microwave that required repairs. As a former devoted Sears consumer, I once literally had a washer replaced after it was malfunctioned after about a year. It was replaced! Too many Craftsman tools were replaced for free by Sears even years after my employment. I as a very happy employee of Sears(Hew Hartford and Colonie,NY) and consumer.Now, I am without words to express my frustation and embarassment. Allow me to bluntly, say: Shame on you! Thank you for the liberty of expressing myself in this form.

You all are way overpriced. The dryer is fixed almost $400 later for only a 30day warranty on work completed. Could have bought a new dryer for those prices.

He came to home and didn't do anything told me that it couldn't be done he didn't check anything that it couldn't be fix.and sear do not carry the parts.and I'm not happy so why am I spending my money
