Paul got the job done, and that's the bottom line. He did it efficiently, professionally, and made the experience a pleasant one. If there is one thing that could use some improvement, it would be the arrival window - a 9-hour window is enormous; any improvement on that would be welcome.

Showed up on time, cleaned up nicely, I hope he found the problem with the refrigerator with the parts he replaced, if not I believe that I just got stuck with a defected product. Certainly not the tech fault. Glad to see that the same tech came back.

The technician's professionalism was great, however the company giving me at time frame from 8 am to 5 pm and the technician not showing up the first scheduled time only to cancel at 6:15 pm to reschedule and cost me a days pay. Then when we got someone in here finally and even though we told them it was the water pump he still had to order it. When the pump came in we were again told 8-5 of which I took time off of work to be here "again". The tech didn't show up until 6:00 pm (so much for the 8-5 time frame). I have always been a happy customer of Sears however I'm starting to question if they are actually still there for my services. I utilize Sears a lot as I have Fridges and a Garage door that they put in. Questioning my choices.

Technician was great price was not $300 in labor for 15 minute fix? I get maybe $100-$150 for coming out but 15 minutes of labor shouldnt cost the same as an hour from a lawyer.

I had initially contacted Sears for a diagnostic on a GE Refrigerator. A services technician came by on 09/04 to diagnose the issue, and recommended a part be ordered and a repair scheduled. I agreed to this, and paid the technician that day (around $550.00). This repair appointment was scheduled for 09/13. The part for the repair arrived a day earlier (09/12) than the scheduled appointment. On the day of the appointment, I was contacted and told that because the part had not arrived (which was incorrect), my appointment was moved to 09/14. I informed Sears Home Services via their online chat that the part was indeed at my house. The agent at the time said they would relay this information to the technician, but the appointment would have to remain on 09/14. On 09/14, my appointment was moved again, but this time I was not contacted, I just happened to look at my online appointment details to see that it had been moved to 09/16. I used the Sears chat feature to contact an agent again, and they said they moved it because according to their records, the part had not arrived. I informed them AGAIN that this was not the case and that the part was at my house. The agent apologized and assured me that they would correct this information, and assured me that a technician would arrive on 09/16 for the repair. However, on 09/16 no technician arrived during my scheduled timeframe (0800am - 5pm). I used the chat to contact an agent AGAIN, and yet AGAIN, they said their records showed that the part had not yet arrived, and therefore no technician was sent. I expressed my frustration, and the agent said they would "manually contact the service center" to ensure a technician would arrive, this time for 09/18. AGAIN, this appointment did not happen and was rescheduled. I then got on the chat AGAIN and asked to speak to a manager. This manager repeated the same thing about assuring me "this time the technician will arrive" for 09/20. They said they would email the technician to put this as a priority. I asked that I be cc'd so I can stay in communication. The manager said they would do this. They did not. Lucily, the technician (who was very nice) did arrive on 09/20 and my fridge was finally fixed. I wanted to write this all out so it hopefully conveys to you that Sears Home Repair does not have a good methodolgoy for communication between it's various functions: website chat, customer services, parts delivery and technician services. It seemed they were more than happy and quick to take my money, but when delivering services, they seemed to not care very much about the expediancy and efficiency of those services.

I will never buy another extended warranty. The service personnel are excellent but it only took 2.5 months to resolve the issue. The only human being that I could speak with was the actual service tech. The online service does not give you the opportunity to speak to a real person. If you do by chance get through to a live person, their accent is so heavy you can’t understand them. It has cost me far more money in lost time than the warranty saved. The service window is 8am to 5pm. I lost 4 days of work because it took 4 visits. That’s $4000 dollars. This was the most expensive and unimpressive service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing! NEVER AGAIN! The only reason I gave it 1 star is because it is the only way I could post this.

Don't waste your money on the warranty. Techs have been out 3 times, dryer still not repaired. Been over 2 months with out a dryer!!!
